American BBQ, Burgers, Meat Lover Paradise, $$
Excellent choice for hearty wood fired BBQ in a laid back restaurant setting. This place has an extensive drinks menu - from cocktails to beers. As this was a birthday celebration, we went with the exclusive Chef’s Table dining experience. Everything was so delicious from the appetizers to main to the desserts. The appetizers were bite sized delicious, preparing us for the upcoming meat platter. There were also grilled seafood to ease up on all the meatiness in the overall courses. Really generous portions and most importantly, everyone from the table really enjoyed it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Henry Cheng
There's something about Meatsmith that just draws you in. Maybe it's the giant Southern Pride Smoker wafting out the rich, smoky aroma of American BBQ or the bustling vibe of Telok Ayer Road. We recently visited this newly renovated space, with its unpretentious wooden benches and rustic chairs, and it was an evening of indulgent feasting and lively conversations.
Their menu serves up gourmet cuts that are flawlessly marinated and smoked, alongside sides suitable for sharing. Among the things you’ll find on the menu are large format sharing meat platters, the signature 10-hour smoked Beef Brisket, slow-cooked on hickory wood for up to 14 hours, Dry Aged Steaks over a wood fire grill, and more. They also have an extremely strong reputation for their Cheeseburgers and monthly rotation of Guest Burgers.
Corn Bread and Smoked Butter
We started our feast with their all-time favourite starter - Corn Bread and Smoked Butter. The warm corn bread was comforting, drizzled with honey syrup, and served with a delightful smoked butter. It brought back memories, (almost) like how mom used to make it.
Pork Belly Burnt Ends
Served as an appetizer, The Pork Belly Burnt End was smoked to perfection. It had a sublime mix of soft consistency and crusty edges, served alongside a refreshing watercress and beetroot salad.
Mother of All Platters
The Mother of All Platters is a BBQ lover's dream, offering a sampler of the most popular smoked meats. Ideal for sharing among six, it came loaded with sausages, fried chicken, beef brisket, and other premium cuts. Each item is slow-cooked and smoked for hours, and had a depth of flavour that only true BBQ mastery can achieve. The Beef Brisket, part of this platter, was notably tender, moist, and robust in flavour.
Meatsmith Cheeseburger
And, of course, the Meatsmith Cheeseburger - a classic done right. This burger features double beef brisket patties, melted cheddar, pickles, and burger sauce, all packed in a housemade potato bun. Each bite was juicy and full of flavour, a perfect example of a simple dish executed exceptionally well.
The drink menu at Meatsmith is as impressive as its food, with a fine selection of whiskeys, bourbons, and international wines carefully curated by the Burnt Ends Bar and Sommelier team. These drinks perfectly complement the rich, smoky flavours of the BBQ.
