Sweat worthy dishes, it's been a while since i didn't get to enjoy nasi padang at this level. The dishes are packed with umanis and flavours. Worth to orders are beef rendang, fried egg, sambal (on its own) and ikan asam pedas. I had 2 and a half packs of rice. Oh, forget to mention that the rice is the unsung hero of the meal, steam to perfection and the chef is care enough to add in some butterfly pea juices to make it slightly blueish. Bravo! Definitely will bring friends and family here again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oma Kase

30 Years of Authentic Indonesian Flavours at Pagi Sore, Singapore's Best Family-Run Secret

In the bustling streets of Singapore's CBD, on Telok Ayer Street, you'll find Pagi Sore Indonesian Restaurant. It's a place we've come to know quite well after interviewing the owner-chefs, Chef Liyana Kwan and her son, Chef Park. Each visit feels like a small journey into the heart of Indonesian culture, serving up halal-certified, zi char-style fare.

Pagi Sore's journey began as a modest "Nasi Padang" eatery and has since blossomed under the nurturing hands of Chef Liyana and now Chef Park. Their commitment to preserving original recipes, some over 30 years old, while innovatively blending Indonesian and Chinese cooking techniques, has cultivated a dining experience that’s both familiar and novel. Stepping inside, you’re greeted by an inviting atmosphere, where white and dark teak wood furniture provide a comfortable, family-friendly setting.

Signature Dishes

Ayam Bali

Their Ayam Bali is exceptional. A chicken thigh is glazed in a rich Balinese-style sauce and grilled to perfect caramelization at over 300 degrees Celsius. The rice, steamed in freshly-cut banana leaves, is mildly fragrant and fluffy, complementing the chicken perfectly.

Angus Rendang Sapi

The Angus Rendang Sapi is a luxurious take on the classic rendang. Angus beef brisket is slowly simmered in a rich blend of coconut milk, herbs, and spices, creating a tender and subtly flavourful experience.

Ikan Ota Kukus

And if you're going to pick just one thing, make it the Ikan Otah Kukus (Steamed Leather Jacket Fish marinated with Otah spices). The steamed Leather Jacket Fish, infused with Otah spices and coconut milk gravy, is delicate yet flavourful. The Tapioca Leaf adds a subtle aroma that makes this dish a memorable one. You've got to try it.

Bento Delivery: A Taste of Indonesia on the Go

Pagi Sore now offers a bento delivery service, perfect for corporate lunches or busy individuals seeking a taste of Indonesia amidst their hectic schedules.
