This French-Thai restaurant is a hidden gem worth a travel from other parts of Singapore to. Being able to order a Thai pork salad alongside a lobster bisque is certainly unusual. Having both dishes (and the rest that we tried) be tasty, makes Farangse a must-return for us.In addition to quality food, the service was absolutely spot-on. We happened to be there for lunch at the same time as a group of 20. Attention to our table and the speed in which our meals were prepared was not at all impacted. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Av C

Farangse: Singapore's Only French-Issan Dining Destination

Tucked away in Greenwood, Farangse—meaning 'French' in Thai— is a quiet gem that brings a slice of French and Thai Issan (North-Eastern Thailand) flavours to Singapore's dining scene. Chefs Eric and Emma's commitment to their crafts results in a menu that respects both cuisines, serving them as distinct experiences rather than mixing them into a fusion to celebrate each tradition authentically.

Our little group stumbled upon this place not too long ago. The relaxed ambiance immediately had us at ease, like a lazy Sunday afternoon. Sitting in their outdoor terrace felt just right, the kind of place that invites you to stay a while, chat, and just be.

Signature Dishes

Iberico Pork Pluma

The Iberico Pork Pluma here quickly topped our list of favourites. It's the sort of dish that could easily turn the pickiest eater into a loyal follower, with its succulent honey-glazed pork and comforting mash.

House 1kg Steak

And if you're thinking about steak, Farangse has it down to an art. We tried both the Wagyu and the Black Angus, and the consensus was clear: Farangse knows its steak. Served alongside trusty companions like mash, salad, and ratatouille, it's a hearty nod to the familiar.

Thai Dishes

Thai dishes are equally a draw, with choices like the Fermented Pork Sausage and Deep-Fried Thai Pork Neck. They're the sort of things you'd pick for a laid-back evening paired with good conversation and a bottle of wine.

French Dishes

And let's not forget the French offerings. We were particularly taken by the Stewed Oxtail, and the Mussels with Garlic Butter Frog Legs were a nice surprise, adding a refined touch to our meal.
