The coffee and tea here is good. We had an enjoyable breakfast, the La coffee breakfast was delicious (surprisingly crispy and flavorful bread, bacon was crispy and tender), and as for the French toast the kaya used was homemade (extra light, aromatic and creamy). Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ JW Y

When we strolled into La Coffee around 9am on a weekday, the cafe was already humming with a few regulars – always a promising sign. Nestled in a modern setting in Marina Square, La Coffee offers a unique fusion of Eastern and Western culinary delights, making it a perfect spot for our diverse tastes.

What sets La Coffee apart is its commitment to homemade quality. Their Kaya and Sambal, made from a secret family recipe, brought back memories of traditional home cooking, but with a unique twist that we couldn't get enough of.

Our Favourite Picks

Nasi Lemak Ayam

The Nasi Lemak Ayam was an instant hit with us. It features homemade fragrant coconut rice paired with their signature homemade sambal, crispy ikan bilis, peanuts, and a hard-boiled egg. The highlight is the spice-filled chicken thighs – crispy on the outside and tender inside. The freshly made chili and sambal provide an incredible depth of flavour, and the nuts and ikan bilis are fresh and crispy, without being greasy or tough.

Kaya Butter Toast

Their Kaya Butter Toast was another winner. Two slices of perfectly toasted bread are layered with homemade kaya and thin slices of butter. The kaya was light and fluffy, the bread perfectly toasted with a crisp exterior, and the generous slabs of butter melted in our mouths.

Chicken Chop

The Chicken Chop is an all-time favorite. A juicy chicken thigh is smothered in a rich brown mushroom sauce (you can also opt for black pepper sauce), served with a side of fries and salad. We went for the brown mushroom sauce and weren't disappointed – it perfectly complemented the moist, flavourful chicken.

Fish n Chips

Back by popular demand, we couldn't miss out on the Fish & Chips. The fish, coated in a specially made batter, is fried to a golden crisp. It's served with in-house coleslaw and crispy golden fries – a classic dish done exceptionally well.
